In July of 2013, Josh Tanner founded Country Crossroads & officially switched us on-air. In addition to founding the station, he remains general manager to this day and he is a part of our weekday lineup. Josh is very passionate about Country music... he loves everything from the classics to music from today's hitmakers. His passion for the music is evident in all of the great music you hear daily. The story doesn't end there, though.

Josh has a very rich Country music history of his own. His great-great grandfather, Gid Tanner, led one of Country music's first supergroups, the Skillet Lickers, in the 1920's and 1930's, which would become the most popular group of their time and would see over 1,000,000 copies of their final album in 1934. This group, led by Josh's great-great grandfather, would set the stage for Country music for decades to come. For Josh, Country music doesn't just flow through the airwaves, it's in his blood too.
